"Divergent" movie date

So, I finally watched 'Divergent' the movie yesterday. The movie is great and Theo James- the actor playing Tobias/ Four is oh-so handsome!!

But to be frank, I enjoyed Divergent the book (that is written by Veronica Roth) much more than I did watching the movie.

I'm glad that my bestie, Shida agreed to join me for this movie date since the rest of my friends are too busy with their schoolwork or just not interested in any Hollywood films (they are seriously missing out on a lot of good films- especially movies adapted from my fave YA fiction books).

I believe that it's been almost a year since Shida and I last met face-to-face as she's currently studying in West Malaysia and I'm still in our hometown. Finally, both of us are free to hang out as she's on a semester break and I just finished my final exams.

There are, in fact, quite a few scenes that involves injecting serum to the human body. My movie date's terrified of needles but I secretly find it amusing to watch her flinch and cover up her eyes when such movie scenes are shown.

The one thing that bugs me is that just when I was holding my breath waiting, expecting Tobias and Tris to share their first kiss (during the scene in which Tobias showed his tattoos), they actually CUT out the kissing scene!!!! AAARGHH!  And they did poorly in trying to piece the scenes back that it is SO OBVIOUS that they cut it!! By "they", I mean whoever ('cause I've no idea who ) cut the scene.

When I quickly realised that, I tried to suppress a scream of annoyance as I don't want to draw attention to myself in the cinema.

WHY on earth would someone cut the kissing scene that I looked forward to the most ASSUMING that the reason behind this is that the scene is inappropriate for younger kids AND STILL LEAVE the final kissing scene untouched??? That doesn't even make sense to me.

Anyway, apart from my annoyance over the cut kissing scene, I still had a blast hanging out with my bestie.
